An online professional learning program designed for teachers that have a student who is deaf or hard of hearing has been completed by teachers in Term 3. This exciting program, which involves 20 hours of online and face to face sessions, has been created to increase the knowledge and skills of Victorian teachers and support the teaching and learning needs of students with a hearing loss. Some participants have been able to complete their face to face session through video conferencing this term.
This course, made possible through the More Support for Students with Disabilities National Partnership, will be available again in Term 4 and through 2013. Inclusion Online course details will be provided directly to school staff via the DEECD Schools Bulletin. Courses will be advertised on PD-Online and through the Victorian Institute of Teaching. Details will also be forwarded directly to people on the VDEI distribution list.
