The annual 'cap that!' campaign is asking teachers to turn on captions

Skip Navigation LinksVictorian Deaf Education Institute > News and Events > The annual 'cap that!' campaign is asking teachers to turn on captions
The annual cap that! campaign, supported by National Literacy and Numeracy Week, asks teachers Australia-wide to turn on captions in schools for literacy and learning benefits for all students. Captions are essential for Deaf and hearing impaired students and improve comprehension for EAL/D students, struggling readers and children with learning difficulties. As a tool already available on many DVDs, online videos and TV programs, captions are an easy way to boost literacy and inclusion for all students.
