The secondary transition information morning on Saturday 26 July at VDEI had a great turn out.
Families and carers of students who are deaf or hard of hearing were able to chat with representatives from secondary educational settings and Visiting Teacher services about options available for their children.
Deaf Children Australia, the Cochlear Implant Clinic and Australian Hearing were also on hand to talk to parents about how they support children in secondary schools.
“Thank you again for letting us know about the information morning. We found it very informative and appreciate you keeping us in the loop. I left the expo feeling that secondary school is not going to be such a challenge for Bridget as long as we have everything in place. We learnt so much in such a short amount of time. Keep up the great work!” Louise Diviny, parent of deaf student, Bridget transitioning to secondary school.
