​​​​​​VDEI will be hosting Dr Stacey Tucci's once-off webinar about Theory of Mind. Dr Tucci will present her research and also an evidence-based intervention to improve Theory of Mind in children who are deaf or hard of hearing (DHH). She designed this intervention with Susan Easterbrooks and Amy Lederberg at Georgia State University.

Theory of Mind is critical to developing cognition, social-emotional skills, and literacy. The intervention is designed to improve the child's capacity to attribute mental states to oneself and others through explicit instruction. This asynchronous webinar will be delivered by a
narrated PowerPoint by Dr Tucci. ​

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:​

  • after this webinar, participants will be able to: identify delays in Theory of Mind​​

  • u​se strategies to develop Theory of Mind in children who are DHH.​​
