Associate Professor Dianne Toe is the Deputy head of the School of Education in the Faculty of Arts and Education at Deakin University. Her background is in Psychology, Audiology, and Education. She has worked in these fields since 1983, with 27 years as an academic at the Universities of Melbourne and Newcastle and now Deakin University. A strong foundation in developmental psychology underpins all of Dianne's work. She is actively involved in research relating to the development of pragmatic language skills in children who are deaf or hard of hearing, publishing widely and sharing this work in a range of international forums.
