Dr​ John Luckner is a professor and the coordinator of the Deaf Education teacher preparation program in the School of Special Education at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado, USA. He also serves as the Director of Research and Evaluation for the Bresnahan/Halstead Center at the University of Northern Colorado. He is the co-author of five books and one test, nineteen book chapters and more than 80 juried journal articles. He serves on the editorial review board for the American Annals of the Deaf, Communication Disorders Quarterly and Teaching Exceptional Children. His current research interests include literacy, teacher preparation, social-emotional development and the provision of appropriate services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing and their families.
