Working in consultation with the Victorian Deaf Education Institute, early learning educators and Auslan consultant, Chris Dunn, Deaf Children Australia (DCA) this month launched ‘Platypus Playhouse’, innovative bilingual (Auslan, English) learning resources designed to help deaf and hard of hearing children (0-4 years) build language.
Led by two unique platypus characters, Pip and Annie, these resources have been designed for children to develop language skills with their family, relatives, and friends through play. Platypus Playhouse's engaging resources include story books, Auslan videos, finger puppets, flashcards, and games.
