Now in its 77th year, Education Week aims to positively profile and celebrate the strengths and achievements of Victoria's government education sector.
This year’s theme is ‘Building Connections’. The theme celebrates the connections between schools and local communities and strengthens bonds with families and carers. Education Week is an opportunity for all primary and secondary schools, higher education, and early childhood services to showcase how they are building connections with the community around them.
At VDEI, we are proud of our strong connections with educators, schools and allied professionals.
Since its establishment in 2011, VDEI has developed strong relationships with teachers and allied professionals at a state, national and international level. These connections ensure that VDEI is a trusted centre of expertise within the Department that provides support and advice on matters related to deaf education. Our extensive network of professionals from deaf education and allied sectors enables us to maximise the support provided to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
