International World Teachers’ Day is held globally on Tuesday 5 October. However, as this date usually falls within the school holidays World Teacher’s Day is celebrated in Victoria on Friday 29 October 2021. The day provides an opportunity to celebrate teachers and say thank you for their contributions to Victorian Communities.
The United Nations Theme of World Teachers' Day 2021 is “Teachers at the heart of education recovery”.
Victoria will celebrate World Teachers' Day on Friday 29 October 2021.
This year, World Teachers' Day provides an opportunity to recognise not only the important contributions teachers make or have made on our lives, but also highlights the workforce's continued resilience, leadership, and adaptability throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
World Teachers' Day is a chance to say, 'thank you'.
