Develop your capabilities in supporting students with complex communication needs with this facilitator-led blended learning course

Course learning objectives

  • Learn about Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC) & aided language acquisition
  • Learn about how to support students’ autonomous communication
  • Learn strategies/adjustments/supports for students with CCN to enable active participation, learning & social connection at school
  • Collaborate with others to share ideas
  • Know where to access and use a suite of resources & supports

Course requirements

  • Complete the pre- and post-course evaluations
  • Engage with the online course content (approximately 1-2 hours per week)
  • Collaborate with others and reflect on your learning
  • Apply learning via case studies embedded in the course
  • Consolidate knowledge with one x 1 hour face-to-face/virtual session
