Course learning objectives
- Learn about Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC) & aided language acquisition
- Learn about how to support students’ autonomous communication
- Learn strategies/adjustments/supports for students with CCN to enable active participation, learning & social connection at school
- Collaborate with others to share ideas
- Know where to access and use a suite of resources & supports
Course requirements
- Complete the pre- and post-course evaluations
- Engage with the online course content (approximately 1-2 hours per week)
- Collaborate with others and reflect on your learning
- Apply learning via case studies embedded in the course
- Consolidate knowledge with one x 1 hour face-to-face/virtual session
