Course learning objectives
- Learn about how the ear works & types of hearing loss
- Understand how assessments can be used to determine student skills, including those areas requiring intervention
- Collaborate with others to share ideas
- Practise setting student goals
- Learn a range of strategies to support students with a hearing loss
- Consider how strategies may be applied in different situations
- Know where to access a suite of resources & supports
Course requirements
- Complete the pre- and post-course evaluations
- Engage with the online course content (approximately 1-2 hours per week)
- Collaborate with others and reflect on your learning
- Apply learning via two practical learning activities
- Consolidate knowledge with two x 1.5 hour face-to-face/virtual sessions
